Kick It Events is a family-owned business based in Asheville, and we’ve been putting on races across Western North Carolina since 2007. This one holds a special place for us: starting from the front porch of Black Mountain and climbing all the way to the 6,684′ summit of Mount Mitchell, the highest point in eastern America. It’s one of the original WNC ultras and a bucket-list race for every ultra runner.

Sign up for the Marathon or go all in on the 36-mile Challenge to the summit. Either way, you’ll get a course that tests you and a community that shows up for each other. And if racing isn’t your thing this year, we’d still love to have you – volunteering and sponsoring are great ways to be part of race day and support the local trail running community.
